Emirates Skywards Extends Tier Reviews to 2022 - By Daisy BARRO

 


Emirates and flydubai’s loyalty programme, Emirates Skywards has integrated new ways of attracting prospective customers by allowing present customers to maintain their current tier status until 2022.

According to sources, this generous extension was instituted in order to offer members “greater reassurance during this time” of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.

The loyalty programme offers four tiers of membership: Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with each tier offering specific privileges. The tier extension will permit members to avoid review for the next one year, giving them a year to enjoy the benefits granted by their tier, or to quickly obtain bonus tier miles and be ready for an upgrade during the next review in 2022.

It is expected that Emirates Skywards will roll out more exciting initiatives throughout the year 2021, increasing the opportunities for members to earn miles with airlines, car rentals, hotels etc – miles which can be spent either on flight tickets or on hospitality at sporting and cultural events, among other possibilities.

Arik Air: We Are Resuming Flights to Maiduguri - By Daisy BARRO

  The Management of Arik Air recently revealed that the airline is set to recommence flights from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja to Maiduguri, effective Monday May 10, 2021. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arik Air, Captain Roy Illegbodu expressed his delight with the present state of affairs: “We are delighted to introduce our services to Maiduguri, following popular demand by our customers for Arik’s presence in the city.” He went ahead to assure members of the flying public that Arik is committed to their safety, and will ensure their comfort and security as they patronize the airline. For the time being, Arik will operate four weekly flights from Abuja to the Borno State capital – flights which are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
