Power recently changed hands in the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Airport Command as the Service’s former comptroller, Abdullahi Musa Usman has handed over to Abdullahi Dalhatu.

The brief handover ceremony took place at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Office of the NIS. The incumbent and his predecessor were seen arriving the venue together, after which Mr. Dalhatu carried out an inspection of his men followed by various meetings with top airport officials.

According to sources, former NIS boss, Mr. Usman praised the Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede for choosing for him a worthy successor. He also divulged that he was positive Mr. Dalhatu has the “capability to handle the assignment.”

“I have no doubt about him, as he is one of those we call Total Immigration Officers. The Comptroller General has not made a mistake – Abdullahi Dalhatu will continue with the good work, and so there won’t be any gap in service delivery. He might be new to the office, but he has lots of experience and I wish him well”, said Mr. Usman.

It should be noted that before his redeployment, Mr. Dalhatu had served at the passport office, Alausa – Lagos and also in Kano State.
