7th National Travel Essay Competition Opens In Lagos

The seventh edition of the National Travel Essay Competition (NTEC 2015/2016) recently opened in Lagos. The annual writing competition organised by Travel & Business News is aimed at generating greater awareness for the aviation industry as well as encourage young Nigerians to follow a career in the sector in an effort to ameliorate the problem of aging workforce and skilled manpower shortage. The competition is in two categories and is open to Secondary School Students of all ages as well as Undergraduates of Tertiary Institutions in the country. The topic chosen for the Secondary Schools Category is: "Human Factors In Aviation Safety."  While that for Tertiary Institutions is: "Curbing Internal And External Threats To Aviation Safety." Entries are open from November 5, 2015 to April 29, 2016. Prizes to be won include free tickets to South Africa, Dubai, Ghana and to any destination in Nigeria. Tenth Air Transport Safety Summit Now To Hold In November

  The 10 th African Air Transport Safety, Security and Service Summit organised by Travel & Business News , Nigeria’s air transport promotional journal based in Lagos, has been postponed due to some unforeseen circumstances. The gathering of industry experts and professionals which was earlier planned to hold on October 14 – 15, 2015 at the Best Western Hotel, Accra, Ghana will now hold on November 18 – 19, 2015 at the same venue. The Editor of Travel & Business News and Coordinator of the conference, Mr. Ewos Iroro said: “We decided to move the event forward by a few weeks due to some unforeseen circumstances, adding that the move would also allow participants more time to plan their travel arrangements in a bid to ensure a hitch free hosting of the conference.
