Air Peace-Emirates Partnership Enhances African Travel Options - By Daisy BARRO

Air Peace, West Africa's largest airline, has moved to enhance global connectivity by triggering a bilateral interline agreement signed with Emirates, the world's largest international airline. This partnership expands air travel options between Africa, the UAE, and London, offering seamless single-ticket travel with through-checked baggage on select routes.

As part of the deal, Air Peace's extensive West and Central African route system is now connected to Emirates' Dubai hub, providing access to key destinations like London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted, as well as Abidjan, Accra, and Lagos. The partnership enables travelers to connect to additional destinations, including Banjul in Gambia and Dakar in Senegal via Abidjan, and Freetown in Sierra Leone and Monrovia in Liberia via Accra.

"This interline agreement with Emirates represents a major step in Air Peace's strategic vision to connect Africa more efficiently to global markets," said Nowel Ngala, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace. "By combining our strong regional presence with Emirates' extensive international network, we are delivering seamless connectivity, improved travel experience, and greater access to key global destinations for African travelers."

According to Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, "Enhancing our interline partnership with Air Peace allows us to expand our footprint across more of Africa, creating new opportunities for people to fly better with Emirates, while helping international tourists explore more of the region, via Lagos. We remain committed to working with strategic partners such as Air Peace to further strengthen Nigeria's aviation, tourism, and trade sectors", he said.

Air Peace, with its fleet of over fifty (50) aircraft, operates an expanding network of domestic, regional, and international services, connecting major African cities. Emirates operates a Boeing 777-300ER on the Dubai-Lagos route, offering passengers a travel experience with regionally inspired cuisine and beverages, and over 6,500 channels of entertainment.

The collaboration reinforces Air Peace's role as a critical bridge between Africa and the global aviation ecosystem, strengthening intra-African connectivity, supporting trade and tourism, and contributing to economic development across the continent.
