TAAG and Turkish Airlines Solidify Longstanding Cooperation - By Daisy BARRO


TAAG Angola Airlines and Turkish Airlines have renewed their Interline and Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) during the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting held in New Delhi from June 1-3, 2025. The renewal was formally signed by Mr. Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, CEO of TAAG Angola Airlines and Mr. Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, solidifying the longstanding cooperation between the two carriers.

The agreement will continue to support seamless travel options for passengers connecting across both airlines' networks, enhancing connectivity between Africa, Europe, Asia, and beyond. The partnership enables passengers to enjoy a more streamlined travel experience, with easy connections and convenient scheduling.

In addition to the renewal, both parties engaged in strategic discussions exploring further collaboration opportunities. Topics included the potential launch of a codeshare partnership, cargo cooperation, and technical assistance in areas such as maintenance and flight operations. The CEOs agreed to establish regular dialogue between the two airlines with the aim of deepening bilateral cooperation and unlocking new synergies for mutual growth.
