Engr. Akin Olateru, Commissioner/CE, AIB

The Federal Government has approved a new Condition of Service (CoS) for the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) twelve years after its establishment. The approval was conveyed in a letter dated 25th June, 2019 sent from the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
Before this recent approval, the Bureau had operated with the Conditions of Service of a sister agency while the struggle to achieve its own had proved futile over the years.
The Commissioner/CEO, Engr. Akin Olateru said: “This is one of the proofs that we value our staff and are committed to a robust welfare package for them. Since we came onboard, we have relentlessly been pursuing accelerated capacity development, provision of conducive environment for working and a world standard working conditions for our staff.”
Engr. Olateru thanked the Head of Civil Service, the Ministry of Transportation, the Unions and staff of AIB for the landmark achievement and emphasized that the organization was committed to the welfare of its entire staffs.
Furthermore, he noted that; “this is very important for the entire staff of the Bureau towards improving their welfare and a motivation in discharging their best at their various duties to enhance air safety.”
The commissioner therefore charged the entire staff of the Bureau to reciprocate the achievement by redoubling their efforts in discharging their duties and also supporting the management in its bid to achieving its objectives.
