Lagos; Monday, October 10, 2011: Travel & Business News, organisers of the National Travel Essay Competition (NTEC) has announced the commencement of entries for the 3rd National Travel Essay Competition (NTEC 2011). The competition which is the brainchild of Mr. Ewos IRORO, National Coordinator of the contest, is open to secondary school students of all ages and is aimed at encouraging young Nigerians to improve their education and research capabilities as well as follow a career in the air transport sector in an effort aimed at Raising Future Aviation Professionals while creating an increased awareness for the sector.

The 2011 edition of the competition, the 3rd in the series opens to all interested secondary school students with a flair for the travel industry effective Monday, October 10, 2011 and will close on Friday, February 3, 2012. Interested participants are to pick up an entry form from their school heads or representatives, directly from the organisers, and through copies from adverts in Travel & Business News Magazines.

The winner stands to go home with a cash prize of One Hundred Thousand Naira  (N100,000) only, an Award Certificate and an all expense paid trip to Dubai. Second prize is Sixty Thousand Naira (N60,000) only, an Award Certificate and a free ticket to Ghana; while the third prize winner will get Forty Thousand Naira (N40,000) only, an Award Certificate and a free ticket to any destination in Nigeria.
