Perm Sec Urges NAMA Staff to Sustain Team Work & Dedication - By Daisy BARRO



The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, has praised the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) for how it executes its crucial role of ensuring safe and efficient air navigation in the country. He described NAMA's contributions as "very strategic and pivotal" to Nigeria's economic development.

During his working tour of NAMA's corporate headquarters in Abuja recently, Dr. Kana commended the agency's staff for their teamwork, dedication, and commitment to achieving organizational objectives. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating that it is the foundation of success and a key propeller of NAMA to greater heights.

Dr. Kana also noted that NAMA's vision aligns with the strategic goals of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's mandate to elevate the aviation industry.

However, Dr. Kana acknowledged the challenges posed by the fluctuating dollar exchange rate and reiterated the government's commitment to addressing funding challenges in the sector. He pledged to collaborate with the Honourable Minister to secure necessary funding for NAMA's projects.

NAMA's Managing Director/Chief Executive, Engr Ahmed Umar Farouk, expressed gratitude for Dr. Kana's, visit and highlighted the agency's commitment to safety; revealing that plans are underway to commence work on building NAMA's corporate headquarters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport in Abuja.
