SAHCO Secures Air Tanzania Ground Handling Contract - By Daisy BARRO

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has been awarded a contract to provide comprehensive ground handling services to Air Tanzania at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria. The services will include passenger handling, baggage handling, ramp handling, cargo handling, warehousing, among others. Air Tanzania will operate three times a week from its hub at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam to Lagos. Women in Aviation International (WAI) - Glowing Wings Chapter recently celebrated its annual Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) 2025 with the theme "Breaking Limits - Journeying into Aviation". The event, held on September 17, 2025, at the NCAA Annex in Ikeja, Lagos, brought together women working in the Nigerian aviation sector and female students from Air Force Secondary School, Ikeja; Abesan Senior High School, Ipaja and Queens' College, Yaba for career talks and inspiration. In her keynote address, Mrs. Evelyn Njoku, President of the WAI chapter and General Manager, Public Affairs at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), shared her personal journey into aviation, encouraging the young girls to pursue their dreams without fear.
