45TH AFRAA AGA OPENS IN FEW DAYS





The 45th Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the African Airlines Association, (AFRAA) opens in twelve days time. The event which starts officially on Monday November 25, 2013 will be preceded by a Delegates Tour of Mombasa and a Welcome Cocktail/Dinner sponsored by TBA and Boeing respectively. Mr. Titus Naikuni, MD, Kenya Airways is set to welcome delegates to the conference while the official opening of the event will be conducted by Eng. MSM Kamau, CBS Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure of the Republic of Kenya.
Other guests expected to grace the occasion include Mr. Tony Tyler, DG/CEO, IATA as well as Dignitaries from the African Union. AFRAA's Secretary General is also expected to set the tone of the conference in his opening remarks. SAHCO Secures Air Tanzania Ground Handling Contract - By Daisy BARRO

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has been awarded a contract to provide comprehensive ground handling services to Air Tanzania at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria. The services will include passenger handling, baggage handling, ramp handling, cargo handling, warehousing, among others. Air Tanzania will operate three times a week from its hub at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam to Lagos. Women in Aviation International (WAI) - Glowing Wings Chapter recently celebrated its annual Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) 2025 with the theme "Breaking Limits - Journeying into Aviation". The event, held on September 17, 2025, at the NCAA Annex in Ikeja, Lagos, brought together women working in the Nigerian aviation sector and female students from Air Force Secondary School, Ikeja; Abesan Senior High School, Ipaja and Queens' College, Yaba for career talks and inspiration.
