EgyptAir Pledges Greater Support For Nigerian Youngsters As Winners of Writing Contest Pay Visit

Winners of the Secondary Schools category of the 5th Bristow Helicopters/Travel & Business News National Travel Essay Competition (NTEC 2013/2014) recently paid a courtesy visit to EgyptAir office in Victoria Island, Lagos. The students who were accompanied by their parents were received by the General Manager (GM), EgyptAir, Mr. Khaled El Rafie.
The team was made up of the Grand Prize Winner, Miss Karimat Sowemimo of Murtala Muhammed Airport Secondary School (MMASS) accompanied by her mother, Engr. (Mrs.) Modinat Sowemimo; Second Prize Winner, Miss Tolulope Ogunkoya of International School (Unilag) Lagos (ISL) with both Parents, Mr. & Mrs. Olayide & Abosede Ogunkoya; Miss Divine Nwachi also of MMASS with her School Teacher, Mrs. Clementina Igweonu; as well as Mr. Ewos Iroro, Founder & Coordinator of the annual contest.
Welcoming the contingent to his office, Mr. El Rafie noted that EgyptAir has been a long standing sponsor of the National Travel Essay Competition (NTEC) since its inception in 2009 in line with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy of investing in the future of young Nigerians, which he said were “The future of the nation and custodians of a better tomorrow.” He went further to congratulate and commend the winners for their brilliant performance and urged them to keep their passion for learning and the aviation industry alive,” adding that EgyptAir will continue to do its best to contribute even more to support Nigerian youngsters and NTEC in particular.” 
Founder and Coordinator of NTEC, Mr. Ewos Iroro, said: “We are grateful to EgyptAir for identifying with our noble initiative and modest efforts aimed at generating greater public awareness for the aviation industry and raising future aviation professionals.” He added: “We cannot thank you enough for all that your organisation has done over the years, but we would like to use this forum to further solicit your increased support as we join hands in laying a solid foundation not only for your youngsters but also for the aviation sub sector of the Nigerian economy.  
As a way of showing the company’s hospitality, the GM presented each member of the contingent with choice gifts and mementoes courtesy of EgyptAir. “I look forward to welcoming you on board our flights to experience our exquisite Egyptian taste and hospitality,” he concluded.
