SAA Ups Flight Frequencies For Festive Season - By Daisy BARRO

South African Airways (SAA) has announced an increase in flight frequencies on key regional and international routes to cater to the growing demand during the upcoming festive season. The additional flights will operate from October 1, 2025, to February 11, 2026, providing customers with more flexibility and convenience.

The new flight schedules include additional frequencies on the Johannesburg-Lagos route, with two extra flights on Mondays and Tuesdays starting October 6, 2025, increasing the weekly frequency to six flights. Similarly, the Johannesburg-Accra route will see two additional flights on Wednesdays and Fridays, commencing October 1, 2025, boosting the weekly frequency to six flights. Furthermore, SAA will introduce two extra flights on Wednesdays and Sundays on the Johannesburg-São Paulo route, starting December 10, 2025.

Mr. Tebogo Tsimane, SAA's Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the airline's commitment to serving its customers better, stating, "South African Airways is strengthening its network with more flights, more frequencies, and more opportunities to connect Africa to the world. We are aiming higher to serve our customers better this festive season."

According to the carrier, passengers who choose to take advantage of these services will benefit from its expanded flight schedule, enjoying all-inclusive fares with no hidden costs. They can also earn Voyager miles on every flight, redeemable for future travel, and experience luxurious Business Class comfort and premium lounge access.

The airline encourages customers to book early to secure a seat and take advantage of competitive fares during this high-demand period, as December fares have nearly doubled due to limited seat availability. With its expanded flight schedule, SAA is poised to meet the growing demand for air travel during the festive season, providing customers with more flexibility and convenience.
