Astral Aviation Joins AFRAA

Astral Aviation has joined the membership of African Airlines Association (AFRAA) making it the first African Cargo Airline operator to do so. Astral's DC9 Aircraft. Astral has benefited immensely from AFRAA’s initiatives such as the Joint Fuel Purchase Program in addition to the training programs which has provided considerable cost savings. Turkish Airlines Wins CAPA Airline of The Year Award, Commences Flights To Cotonou

Turkish Airlines has been named the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) Airline of the Year 2013 at the 11th annual CAPA Aviation Awards for Excellence held recently in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Temel Kotil, PhD, President and CEO of Turkish Airlines was on hand to accept the award from CAPA Executive Chairman, Peter Harbison at a gala ceremony. President and CEO of Airlines Peter Harbison said “Turkish Airlines has established itself as a formidable competitor in a geographic region that boasts many of the world’s leading airlines.
